About BareboatHQ

BareboatHQ exists because the segment of sailors who charter their own boats deserves better than what the existing market offers. Charter operators have published the same brochure copy for twenty years. Booking a yacht in the BVI still involves PDF rate sheets, email threads with brokers, and a level of friction that belongs in 2005.

We're building two things: a booking platform that treats the charterer as a capable adult, and a content layer that becomes the best free planning resource on the web for the three launch destinations — BVI/USVI, Bahamas, and Belize. Anchorage guides written by people who have anchored there. Itineraries that account for tide windows and prevailing winds. Provisioning logistics that actually answer the question of where to fill the water tanks in the Exumas.

The wedge is trust. Charterers spend $5,000–$20,000 on a charter. They do their research carefully. If we're the resource they trust for planning, we're the platform they book through.

BareboatHQ is in active development. Phase 1 launches in Q3 2026 with Caribbean inventory via the Nausys API. If you're an active charterer and want to be involved in shaping what we build, create an account — we'll be in touch.
