Our Take
Esther is Navigare Yachting's 2023 Bali 4.8 at Eden Island Marina, Mahé: 48.8 feet, five cabins, five heads, registered for eleven. Air-con, a generator and a 240-litre-per-hour watermaker are all listed, with roughly 1,000 litres each of fuel and water, so you can stay out at anchor for days. An electric mainsail winch, AIS and autopilot take some load off the crew. Five en-suites for five couples is the pitch; eleven is the cap, and ten is the real number. It is a big, boxy cat, so expect it to be slower to windward than a performance boat and to need care docking in a crosswind. Take it for a two- or three-family Seychelles trip where nobody wants to share a head.
