Our Take
Happy Fluke is Navigare Yachting's 2023 Lagoon 46 at Hodge's Creek Marina: 45.9 feet, four cabins and four heads, plus two small extra berth cabins, registered for twelve. The kit list is full: reverse-cycle air-con, a 13.5 kVA Onan generator, a watermaker, a hydraulic swim platform, a hydraulic tender lift and a flybridge with all-electric winches. There are 600 litres of water and 1,040 of fuel. Four en-suites means four couples and nobody shares. Draft is 1.3 m. The Lagoon 46 is a tall, heavy cat, so it carries windage on a mooring in a breeze and wants a skipper with catamaran time. Twelve is the registered maximum, but eight is how it lives best. Take it for four couples who want a big, comfortable cat in the BVI.
